Hello Friends! It's been a loooooong time since I shared anything on here! (Thank you Corona....or no thank you!)
And while everything has been put on hold, including primary, I know many primary leaders have been trying to find ways to still connect with their kiddos.
We've done a couple YouTube videos in our ward but for summer we wanted to shake it up a bit! Introducing:
the Summer of Songs!
Each primary child got a necklace (that had one charm with their initial on it) and a lovely handout explaining our challenge.
Download the app "Sing Along" that is free from the church
Listen to the songs listed for the month we are in. Then try to sing along as many times as you want! Each song helps remind us of a Book of Mormon hero and how they help us to be like Jesus.
Visit [your primary music leader] on the last Sunday of the month to receive a bead for each song you did. We are also happy to drop the beads oof at your house if you would prefer, just message us.
Bonus charm if you can sing us one of the songs!
Easy peasy, no pressure to memorize but just a fun way to hear and be surrounded by some of the primary songs.
I'll include below a link to the PDF and sorry, but I don't pay for the Adobe program that allows me to make it editable. But you can easily add a white text box over things you would want to change on your own programs like Word or Pages. Or try making your own! It isn't hard to add text and tables - you got this!
For the supplies, here are things we used:
Ball Chain Necklace at Amazon
Pony Beads at Amazon
Silicone Charms at Amazon
And if you peek closely, you'll notice my PDF is a little different than the pics above. We decided to split pick up times by last name just to help spread out kiddos (we have over 100 primary kids in our ward). But you do what works for your primary!
