Voice & Piano

"His Light Shines on Us All"

In the scriptures we learn about Jesus Christ being a light to the world. This song reminds us that His light can bring us hope during times of darkness or discouragement.

"Greater Things"

This song was inspired by one of the purposes of The Book of Mormon to show "what great things the Lord hath done." It is a reminder that through the Lord, we can get through anything and not just survive but be greater and stronger than before.

1 Nephi 16:29

Voice & Piano

"Christ Has Come"

While reading 3 Nephi in The Book of Mormon, I kept thinking about what it would have been like to live at that time. What if I had heard the prophecies of Christ's birth or saw the star shining? What if I saw the signs of His death? And what if I had been with the Nephites when He visited them, one by one? This song captures some of the excitement and hope that I imagine would have been felt.

Women in the Scriptures

For voice & piano.

Each song in this series focuses on a specific woman in the scriptures. The creative process has been different with each one and has been an interesting experience for me; some lyrics and accompaniments coming together very easily while some of the songs have taken much longer to make them feel right. The ideas for each song originated from scripture verses but then I have taken liberty to add my own interpretations of how each woman might have felt or what she might have thought during her experiences.

This series is a work-in-progress and I look forward to adding more songs soon about some of the incredible women we can find in scripture.

Original Primary Songs

For 4+ years I was lucky enough to teach music in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints children's class called Primary. It was an absolute joy to teach them and I cherished my time singing and learning there.

Those experiences provided me the opportunity for me to write a handful of songs that are appropriate for children, many of which my Primary was able to sing in various settings. Children share such excitement and joy when they sing, and these songs also help them to share their love for our Savior.

Primary Song

"Child of God"

An original song about God's love for us and his wonderful plan for us to return to him. Includes a mash-up at the end with the beloved I Am a Child of God.

Primary Song

"I Love to Share My Testimony"

I wrote this song as a way to help children learn and understand the purpose and focus of a testimony: to know and bear record of Jesus Christ and His gospel. And as we continue to build upon our testimony throughout our lives, it also includes the ways that we can strengthen it.
