Primary Printables
There are some songs that are easy to teach with actions or movement (hello Popcorn Popping!) but I find that visuals are also helpful to teach and review some songs.

Below you'll find some of the flip charts or printable visual aids I've used when teaching. Feel free to use them for your own primary!

If you are the Primary music leader, you need to join the music leader group on Facebook! So many wonderful ideas are shared there, including a wonderful teaching idea posted by Emily Jean Nef for the song "If the Savior Stood Beside Me." I made these printables to match hers.

If you need more details, look on that group or message me!
This file contains black and white pictures for verse one and two of "The Holy Ghost."

Color, cut out, and then laminate the pieces. I put a small piece of magnet tape on the back so I could easily place them on the board while teaching or remove some as we reviewed.

I used a dove to represent the Holy Ghost. I told them about the Savior's baptism when the Holy Ghost descended like a dove, so they knew why I had that picture.

(There is an extra dove - aka the Holy Ghost - at the end of the first verse. I used that one to hide in the primary room and we played Hot/Cold. But instead of singing louder when they got closer to the dove, we sang softer since the Holy Ghost speak to us in a still, small voice :)
A great tool to help teach my original song "The Night When Christ Was Born." Prints in black and white, allowing you to color on your own. Put in sheet protectors and secure in a binder for easy access...I put sheets back-to-back so I didn't have to flip the pages so often.

(Note: There is a page for the last chorus repeat that just says "was." This word is different from the previous chorus'...first two times is sung in the present-tense and the last time in past-tense. I cut out the word "was" and glued it onto a bright neon paper with a popsicle stick attached so I could hold it up as a reminder that this part was different when we were learning the song.)
A new take on the game BINGO, print off four different boards and the song sheet for a round of SINGO!

When playing the game, instead of showing the kiddos a picture to look for, sing the song listed on your card and let them find a picture that goes along with it! A great way to sing and listen to some of our favorite Primary songs.

File includes song sheet and four SINGO boards.
For the 1st Verse & Chorus, a fun printable coloring book for your Primary kids! This is for the song "My Own Sacred Grove" written by Angie Killian - a song that teaches children about the First Vision as well as how to receive their own revelation - such an important process for them to learn and understand.

Here is the updated blog post with both verses, chorus, and bridge linked.
